Now don’t assume anything here, I have defraged, uninstalled some programs that I thought were suspicious, I have done multiple scans for spyware, adware, viruses, worms, and other types of malware. Also I do not have a system restore point which I am pretty pissed about. Games like WC3 Frozen Throne freezes at start up saying i dont have the right display drivers or initializing directx. I am running a Windows XP, I have 2 8800gts in SLi, 2.2ghz dual core Athlon 3800+, I have a pretty nice case which provides a constant 30-40 Degrees C, I have also checked all cables and tried just about everything i could to see why I always have a freeze up when starting AVIs MPEGs just anything in winamp. I have also tried other players they act the same way.
Please ask more questions about my system if you need that information to troubleshoot this annoying problem.
Well I have 500w at least i know its min but it use to work just fine, just recently its been acting up.
even if it is in WinAmp, maybe it’s a skin that is on the player. I know it sounds strange, but I have this s? E f Skin? R Winamp and I had a 50% chance that I am the Blue Screen of Death “w? Rde when I started WinAmp. Try the skin applied to the default, if you tats? Floor lord want to have a different skin and see if that works. It seems strange a player’s skin thatt k? Nnte meses a PC, but it happened to me, and it works like a charm now.
Do you have your power supply? It will take 2 video cards? Your power supply should have at least 500W.
