When I search something in google and I click on a site it will redirect me.
I have clicked on trustworthy sites and redirected me to a site with a virus (trojan); thats happened about 2 times.
It’s annoying me so much.
I’m guessing I have malware or a virus of some sort but when I run Norton it doesn’t show anything, somethimes it may say threats detected and resolved.
I have also gone into system tools and have done the disk clean-up and the system restore but with no luck.
I have installed Windows defender and it says real-time protection ON. However it then comes up with ‘The program can’t check for definition updates: error 0x80072efe. ‘
I search ways to solve it but on some sites it says to delete Norton, but I really want to refrain from doing that. I also went on the microst website (troubleshooting page) and it did not have the error code listed there.
I can’t get rid of this virus/malware/what ever the hell it is ! please help =)
Norton often has little messages that come-up frequently and they say something like an attack on your computer has been blocked.. these come up frequently..
I’m unable to put my computer in safe mode?! the arrows don’t move at all?
im not giving up though this virus is going to go !

The key words here are SAFE MODE! Download, (if you can not get on-line, have a friend download and copy to disc / flash for transfer) install, update and then, in SAFE MODE * run full scans, with these programs. . . ** Http://www. malwarebytes. orghttp: / / www. If you can not run a scan, go into the scanner’s folder and re-name the. exe file to something like ‘MyFile. exe ‘in safe mode and try again. Some malware Prevent the execution of anti spy / mal / virus scans by blocking them by name. You should consider getting a good anti-virus program. Dude. . . The same exact thing happens to me! And I just installed Norton two days ago because it was getting out of hand. I’ve noticed that if I use Google Chrome, it seems to redirect me less than if I use Firefox. You could try changing browsers to see if that would help. If you have FF, you can also download No Script. When you get redirected, you will not see the site because it stops No Script, and then you can block the site.
Hi there, scan your system with Kaspersky anti-virus and system cleaner Reginout. I hope your problem would be solved. If not yet, follow these steps: Step 1 Download a pop-up killer. A pop-up killer is a tool that runs in the background on your computer catching the pop-up windows automatically. This is the first step to get rid of all pop-up windows, mainly because it is easy to install and run a pop-up killer nowadays and most pop-up blocker does not need any configuration at all We recommend stop-the- Pop-Up, Which is free and compatible with most browsers, as searchable Internet Explorer, Netscape, Opera, Mozilla, SBC Yahoo and NetCaptor. Step 2 Scan your computer for adware and spyware. If the pop-up killer did not solve the problem completely pop-up you might want to scan your computer for adware and spyware. This dubious type of software usually monitors your Internet activity to open pop-up ads that fit your preferences. They spy on you, pure and simple. GAIN and SaveNow are two notorious adware applications that open pop-up windows. We recommend that you scan your computer with Bazooka Adware and Spyware Scanner Which seems to be frequently updated. SpyBot is therefore a great spyware scanner. Step 3 Drop Internet Explorer. Join Mozilla and Opera. Mozilla is an open-source browser developed by a community of developers. Netscape Corporation initiated the project was in 1998. The Mozilla browser is available for free and has a built-in popup blocker. Another browser well worth mentioning is the flagship Norwegian Opera Which impress with its speed and has a pop-up stoppers feature. As Mozilla, Opera is also available for free. The only drawback with the Opera browser is that it displays banner ads in its user interface. Try one of these browsers if you do not want to install a pop-up killer. Step 4 Disable the Messenger service. Recently a new type of pop-up windows started to litter users’ desktops. Spammers found out they could launch pop-up windows at the user desktop even when the user was not surfing the web. The spammers take advantage of a bug in the Microsoft Windows Operating System, Which Allows them to open pop-up window with knowledge of the IP number only. Thurs not despair, you can stop the Messenger Service pop-ups too. Step 5 Make friends with the HOST file and block the ad servers. It is possible to block pop-ups and banner ads by editing the host file.
I recommend disabling proxy in your browser first, second and all add-ons. Then clean up hosts file Afterwards, if problems persist, scan with malware bytes anti-malware and TDSS killer here a full guide how to do all this: http://www. 2 virus. com / how-to-fix-google-results-hijacker-google-redirect-virus problem
