I got the virus “Antivirus 2009″ on my computer at work a few weeks ago. . . it apparently reads what kind of browser and security program you are using, and pops up a copy (ie it came up with a fake Norton security box, saying that a virus was detected and I should click on its link to fix it). Very sneaky. But I’m really cautious, so I did not click on it and had no ill effects and was able to remove it. It kept popping up random WARNING boxes as I was removing it, too, trying to keep me from killing it, lol.
yes, i did. it’s exactly what had p c. (Antivirus2009 the thing) the site popped out randomly. it had this fake message box that said i had three viruses, including a trojan horse. then it had two options at the bottom. it said “remove all viruses” and “cancel”. it also had this bar at the top that they made So that it looked like they were actually scanning my computer for viruses. when i tried to exit out of the site, a warning box popped out and told me that if i exited, i would stay infected. but I’m not that stupid. i had a scan for my computer from windows defender that same day, Which told me that there were no viruses detected. whoever invented that fake antivirus 2009 thing needs to go to hell
