So I have this spyware infection called “antivirus soft.” No matter what I do, it won’t let me open up any program, file, or process. It wouldn’t even let me open task manager. The only thing it lets me do is open up the scammed “antivirus soft” program and then will eventually ask me for my credit card info to buy the program and all that garbage.
So my question is, is there a way around it (because I tried every guide on the internet), or will I have to take it to Best Buy where they said it will cost $300 to remove it and they say they would have to reformat my laptop?
I need some desperate and some good advice! Thanks
Well, try this. drive download Malwarebytes (Google it) on another computer, move it to to USB, change the installation file to something random, using the USB drive, move Malwarebytes to your infected computer and install it, if it installs, then just run a scan and go from there. Worst case scenario is do a reformat of the hard drive but I doubt it will come to that, good luck
