It is a spyware problem i think….It keeps saying i have an infection, and then if i move the mouse towards the notice it automatically downloads a program called “Pest Trap,” which slows down and freezes the computer and allows it to download even more programs…..I want to get rid of this without having to download so much crap and pay for programs to get rid of it

You can download a free 30 day trial version, and then after that, you still want it, you can buy it for $ 29 95. Personally, I would recommend you buy it. It is WELL worth the price. Pest Trap is a Smitfraud infection and can not be removed by normal anti-spyware programs. It requires specialized programs to remove it. You can remove pesttrap your self, go to http://www. 2-spyware. com / pest-remove-trap. html and read instructions on what files to delete carefully. but imho, the best way to remove spyware is to get anti-spyware. this way you want to remove computer parasites and other preventable spyware from coming to your machine as well. try to find some free anti-spyware with real-time protection. good luck;)
Use spybot. it kicks ass, even thought it costs like 20 bucks or something for a year, but its worth it.
