I have these ad’s called “think-ads” that keep popping up and not only that there is a white x in a red circle at the bottom right on my computer that keeps saying my computer is infected and has detected spyware infection. And says windows will now download and install the most up-to-date antispyware for me, but nothing comes up. what is the best to download that will help with all kinds of viruses (including worms, trojan viruses, etc.). Sounds like the “XP AntiVirus Hoax” bug got to you too. There are several, good anti-malware apps. that you can download Which Will clean this for you. Do a search for “Spybot Search & Destroy” and download it, then look for “Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware” and do the same. Other good ones are “SUPERAntiSpyware” and “Spyware Blaster” Once you have at least one of these installed (wherein the a couple) run the complete system scan and get rid of the nasty bugs. Then make sure that you have a good anti-virus package installed and just be careful where you go surfing. Another good preventative measure is to use Mozilla Firefox browser with an add-on called “no-script” this will pretty much Ensure you will not get infected again. Hope this is helpful. . .
