I recently started using Windows 7 on my computer and when I first started out with it my internet was running fine (by the way I connect to a modem with a cat5).
I took my computer to my boyfriend’s house for a LAN party where we installed and used hamachi, and there too I got internet. But since I’ve been home I can’t connect anymore. It constantly says ‘identifying’ in the network and sharing, and that I don’t have a valid IP address?
I’ve tried resotre points, troubleshooting, uninstalling hamachi, and using combofix to remove malware. I just can’t seem to get to the internet ![]()
Not sure if hamachi changed settings, if windows 7 has changed settings, or if there is another issue I’m not seeing. How do I fix this?

Uninstall hamachi. Restart your PC. Then go to device manager (right click on My Computer – Properties) You want to get listed all your hardware. Onder network adapters find yours. Remove them all (Uninstall). Restart your PC. Once restarted Win7 will install network adapter and if you have everything connected with modem try to get internet connection again. Maybe this can work for you. Try it.
