Yesterday I clicked on a link in a myspace message and afterwards my computer freaked out. I restarted and when I booted up, there was a red circle with an X in it at the toolbar section that said, “Your computer is infected! Windows has detected spyware infection! It is recomended to use special antispyware tools to prevent data loss.”
I have tried using Ad Aware, which did delete over 200 infected files, Spybot, which did nothing, AntiVir PE Classic, which took care of 5, and other various freeware that did nothing.
Are there any really good (free) antispyware programs I could download to remove the spyware completely?
How dangerous is it to login to accounts online (myspace, yahoo email, etc.)? I’m unsure if there are keyloggers involved in the spyware on my computer.
Is there a way to check for keyloggers?
Please help !!

If you have the money for an anti-virus package, I would get one and scan your system with it before going back online to accounts involving your personal information. Your question is quite proper. No, it is not safe to log in under the conditions you have named.
Yes if you download the free version of Super antispyware, this software will check for keyloggers, viruses, spwyare, malware, etc., etc., with no conflict to your own antiviurs. http://www. SUPERAntiSpyware. com Update and run and in depth scan. Free you must update daily on a manual basis or purchase and get auto. updates. Mind Doctor, France
Be sure to update your ad-aware and run a full scan, scan not smart. Use Firefox instead of IE & use a good anti-virus + firewall. So, use ccleaner to clean up your computer. Here are some links for you.
i think you have it up virtumondelook see if any of what you’re experiencing matches with that worm. its one of the worst imaginable. i got it once and i had to reinstall windows.
