NOT REALLY. . there is no way to check it out. Unless u are sure it came from ur new installations, emails, where u can identify the source in ur computer. But usually there are few possiblities to get them, a harmful site, email attachement or executables from downloads.

If you are running a server setup sure, it is easy. kinda. Almsot every PC is a server of some sort, but many deny or do not win OSs promote access to the programs that are built into the system *. log * is your friend. Backup is so. Learn about both of them. In command / line you can pull the DNS cache from any machine any OS anytime you want to. These are. log files that keep server. Its all UNIX / Linux or can be accessed with Linux or Unix-like programs like. That ad is proactive, oddly enough, in actual reality. To become pro-active with a system you are monitoring the trouble spots and making the daily backups that are needed to keep data safe from corruption. Look at the. log files, what IP # s that machine and downloaded data from what sites. There is the answer to the question. If it did not come from the internet then it came from some storage medium, tape, CD-R, CD-RW, floppy, or direct network connection. Find that and you have found the source of the offending program.
