I noticed this little bit of hell about 2 weeks ago but spybot wouldn’t remove it, saying I was not the administrator(I am the only one who uses this computer and am listed as administrator)
So I did a few things here and there to make sure I was listed as administrator and downloaded Malwarebytes, which by the way, found the gamevance crap and tossed it.
So yesterday, I noticed that many words would be high lighted in different things I was reading on line(car troubleshooting stuff) and when I scrolled over the highlighted word, a little box popped up, labled gamevance and offered suggestions to other sites. WTF??
So I went back to my spybot program and sure enough, gamevance is back and again, will not remove it because I am not administrator….grrrrr. I went to Malwarebyts and it didn’t find the gamevance thing at all….Now what??
Any suggestions?
Pall Mall, those “top contributor” things just mean I talk a lot, not that I have any superior knowledge. LOL
in fact most of my computer skills I have learned on the net and on YA by browsing the old questions on here.
I will check out those sites you listed.
