Not sure what program you are refferring to as your super anti-spyware. . . Whatever you have thats bogging down your system. . uninstall and get these. Adaware SE = spyware removal (free) http://www. lavasoftusa. com / Avast anti-virus program (free) http://www. avast. com / CCleaner = registry and organizer (free) http://www. ccleaner. com / download they will get you going
First of all I did uninstall “Comodo AntiVirus” So you downloaded then remove “Error Smart” That i can not believe you downloaded it’s a very famous virus check this out – http://www. SiteAdvisor. com / sites ErrorSmart /. com Ok second http://spybot download this. com / en / download / index. html Which is free. Third run a scan and restart a couple of times. And last download a very wicked tool called “Site Advisor” from http://www. SiteAdvisor. com / It’s so free it is not an anti-virus but once you want to install it atleast you will see Which sites are good and Which are totaly messed up If you need further help then you can email me at flash hammer @ yahoo. com
People who advise defunct anti-spyware (Lavasoft stopped supporting Ad-Aware SE 12/31/07) and who do not know how good Super Anti Spyware is should not be giving advice in computer security. So those who mistake what you said for “super anti-virus,” which you never even said. Super Anti Spyware is just that. . . Super. It’s a keeper. But you must get rid of that error smart. If you are able to do a system restore to before running Error Smart, it may correct the problems that caused error smart. One thing said above that I agree with is that running CCleaner would be a good idea.
First off: SUPERAntiSpyware is a well know and respected anti-spyware application that I personally recommend. Uninstall Error smart because the website that it has been rated negatively host (meaning that its unsafe and it might be the cause of your issues). Along with SuperAntiSpyware, I also recommend this: AVG Anti-Spyware (. Use to be ewido anti-spyware and for the first 30 days, you’ll be using the Trial version of AVG Antispyware Paid version After that you’ll just get the scanner): http : / / www. ewido. net / en / download /
The FIRST thing to do is DISABLE System Restore. If enabled, this malware Allows to hide in the computer and re-install itself. To disable it, then RIGHT click-on “My Computer.” Select “Properties” under the ‘System Restore’ tab, check ‘Turn off system restore’ IF not already checked. The next most helpful things that would help you are to use ONLINE scanners from websites to remove any malware on your PC. The current best online scanners I prefer are from Kaspersky antivirus and Bitdefender antivirus. Together, these 2 scanners will find ALL the bad stuff on your PC because they have the BEST detection rate. First, use Kaspersky’s. (FYI: ALL these scans require you to agree to a EULA and install an activex control Which is needed to perform the scan, so agree to them all) * NOTE: Some scanners ONLY work with IE or may not fully remove malware http: / / www. kaspersky. com / virus scanner http: / / www. bitdefender. com/scan8/ie. htmThere are MANY other online scanners you may like such as: http://www. ewido. net / en / online scan / http: / / www. HouseCall. TrendMicro. com / http: / / www. eset. com / online / scan after using these, it’s ESSENTIAL to install at least three anti-spywares. Thurs conflict NOT use more than one antivirus or firewall as they. The best things in life are FREE, and great free software can be found @: Super Anti Spyware. com (FREE Super Antispyware version) lavasoft. com (Ad-aware) squared. com (A-squared FREE) safer-networking. org (Spybot S & D) cool java software. com (SpywareBlaster, EULAlyzer, & MRU-Blaster) microsoft. com (Windows Defender) avira. com (Avira AV) active virus shield. com (Basically Kaspersky for free) SiteAdvisor. com (Tells you how safe websites are) phoenix labs. org (Blocks malware, government, and anti-p2p org’s) ZoneAlarm. com (Top Notch Firewall) Comodo. com (Another Top Notch firewall) iobit. com (Advanced Windows Care) Eusing. com (Registry cleaner) ccleaner. com (Junk file cleaner) Now if you can afford it, the best software to BUY are: Spy Sweeper (VERY much worth the $ $ $) Security Task Manager Norton Internet SecurityKaspersky (BEST! = D) Bitdefender F-(2nd BEst!) secure (Same as Kaspersky) LinkScanner file (Blocks exploits in real time) Advanced UninstallerIf there’s ever ONE file you suspect is infected, you can try some single file scanners Which MULTIPLE engines to scan ONE use. They are @ VirusScan. Jotti. org or VirusTotal. comIf you’re PC is squeaky clean, re-enable system restore because it IS good to have but we needed to shut it off to wipe out the malware. Just RIGHT-click on “My Computer.” Select “Properties” then under the ‘System Restore’ tab, UN-check “Turn off system restore.” * Another thing to consider is using another browser besides Internet Explorer. It has a lot of security holes, making it less safe. I prefer Firefox from Mozilla. org. It’s easy to use, FAST, and has a lot of neat little add-ons you can toy around with. It is therefore safer than IE exploits from * As always, things will vary. I just hope the best for everybody. I’m bound to get some jealous thumbs-down but there’s only one way to find things out — try it! Keep an UPDATED Antivirus, Antispyware, & firewall and things will be fine. And always browse wisely. As a side note, please email me any / all websites you got the infection from or if any are popping up or hijacking you so I can help further security software’s measures. Sometimes you may get a NEW and Unknown malware and I can submit it to be blacklisted / investigated to security companies. Hope I was able to help. If I have, please consider returning & leaving a nice comment and “Best Answer” to whomever you thinks deserves it. . .
