I have seen that people have asked about this and I know that the error message is actually spyware, I just dont know how to get rid of it. I ran two antispyware programs and they found tons of spyware and removed it but it is still there. The main problem I have is that I cant get onto the internet and I think its because of it so I cant download any antivirus.
I know its spyware, I said that. Im trying to get rid of it. I have norton but I have to download it because I bought it from a different cpu. I just want to know if there is a chick fix
I cant go to any of those websites on the infected computer because it doesnt go online

I have the “Windows Antivirus” spyware/virus. The one that has the little caution triangle in the corner and says “Windows has detected spyware infection…”

I did a search on Yahoo! Questions and tried all the suggestions. And so far I have downloaded Ad Aware, Norton, and Super Anti Spyware and none of them got rid of it!

How do I get rid of it? I can’t do anything on my computer with this darn thing on here!!!

I have a serious spyware infection! Please help!?

So I have this spyware infection called “antivirus soft.” No matter what I do, it won’t let me open up any program, file, or process. It wouldn’t even let me open task manager. The only thing it lets me do is open up the scammed “antivirus soft” program and then will eventually ask me for my credit card info to buy the program and all that garbage.

So my question is, is there a way around it (because I tried every guide on the internet), or will I have to take it to Best Buy where they said it will cost $300 to remove it and they say they would have to reformat my laptop?

I need some desperate and some good advice! Thanks

I have a virus that runs braviax.exe. there is a x with a red circle on the lower right of my screen tha says windows has detected a spyware infection and when i click it it trys installing antivirus 2010. I went to task manager and deleted braviax but still whenever i go onto google or somthing to look at answers for fixing it it redirects to random sites typically antivirus sites or job searches, I NEED HELP!!!

On my desktop background is says, “Your computer is in Danger! Windows Security Center has detected spyware/adware infection! It is strongly recommended to use special antispyware tools to prevent data loss.”
I am scanning my files with Norton AntiVirus right now, & i’m afraid that it won’t get rid of the infected files.

My pc was attacked by the malaware MS Antivirus. I tried to manually delete it, remove its registry values and dll files as well. My pc was able to recover: no more pop-ups, etc. The spyware diabled my screensaver, desktop background, startup menu, etc. I was able to restore those though.

I now have two problems:

1. I can’t update my Norton 2008 Anti-virus. I tried to go to the Symantec website but I could not. I have a disabled AVG Free Edition as well but when I tried to update it, it couldn’t. I tried to download Kaspersky but I couldn’t open the Kaspersky download site, which is the same case that happened with Norton and Avg’s websites. I find it weird coz I can open internet sites other than antivirus and antispyware websites.

2. I can’t go online Y!Messenger. Whenever I log in, it says: “System is Busy. Please try a little bit later.”

Norton and AVG says there is no virus in my pc. My PCDefender says I am spyware-free. What do you think is my problem?

P.S. After deleting MS Antivirus, there was an instance where my PC was led to www.msantivirusxp.com but was blocked by my Norton. (I’m not sure if this is the correct name of the site though.)

Thank you for any ideas.
