Mister Magoo Spyware Infection on Mozilla – Help!!!!?

My computer was recently infected with a program called Mister Magoo – the program file is called mightymagoo.exe. It’s causing pop ups on google and craigslist, “highlighted” search words that lead to their scammy sites, and random noises (like i’m getting an IM).
Norton Antivirus Scan didn’t find anything..

Can anyone PLEASE help me?

How do I get rid of the “Windows Antivirus” spyware/virus?

I have the “Windows Antivirus” spyware/virus. The one that has the little caution triangle in the corner and says “Windows has detected spyware infection…”

I did a search on Yahoo! Questions and tried all the suggestions. And so far I have downloaded Ad Aware, Norton, and Super Anti Spyware and none of them got rid of it!

How do I get rid of it? I can’t do anything on my computer with this darn thing on here!!!

My comp has a spyware/adware infection and now its all screwy.?

The computer screen recently turned from blue to black with a large message telling me I have a spyware/adware infection. Now the internet browser rarely opens correctly for me (it keeps saying cannot find server) and not even my microsoft word works properly. Having the comp set to its last known good configuration doesn’t work, and since I can’t get onto sites really, it seems unlikely to download anything to help. We do have a spyware program already installed, but it seems to freeze at a certain point. Please! Help me!
Ah, thanks everyone for all your help! I really appreciated it. Tinkering around with it, (and with the help of all the woderful advice) the comp somehow managed to speed up a little bit and I was able to use the antispy. Geez. 100 and something counts of malware, adware and the likes. How in the world did I even get all that. LOL. Well, thanks again!
Ok, so perhaps I spoke too soon. The screen is now back to its usual blue color. But now things just don’t seem to want to work. I need to reinstall microsoft word, I can’t download runescape (yea, not the biggest of issues), and I keep getting this message little black box whenever i start the computer that says “C:\WNNT\system32\svchost.exu, and im constantly getting a message that says something about “memory not reading” that eventually makes the whole screen go blank. Oh yea, and often when I try to go online I can’t get past the yahoo homepage.

This comp is really old and unfortunately, the people who let me use this don’t update it too much. I have a 2002 nortonanti-virus installed on here, but it won’t let me live update it, I checked and I had tons of things labeled “bloodhound” A lot of people have said that norton names any potential virus bloodhound, so I’m not even sure of what I have. I deleted them, but I’m still having issues.

(continued)
I’ll try toe foxfire thig, but honestly I’m not sure if it will let me. Aside from that/In addition to that, is there anything else I should do. I’m limited in funds and don’t want to mess with it too much since it doens’t belong to me. Help please and thanks!

Windows detected spyware infection but norton’s full scan doesen’t, why is that, how do I remove it?

How can I get rid of spyware on my laptop and protect it in the future?

My building has wifi. I’ve always kept my laptop on my own, private network, so I’m not so familar with security things of this sort. Anyway. I have a huge spyware problem after three days. My computer is real slow, and I get a relevant popup (a bank if I’m searching for banks, some entertainment thingy if I’m on myspace, etc) every two or three minutes. It’s dang inconvenient, and I’m worried about the health of my computer.

I have Norton, although it hasn’t been updated recently, and use Windows EXP. My computer’s an Inspiron.

Best advice gets max. best answer points and my undying gratitude. Thanks.

Well, you get it, that’s my problem, its asking me to download this stupid spyware all the time. Please tell me how to block it in Firefox, do not tell me to download additional software because i won’t. I have Spybot and Avast, i scanned my PC, immunized it, deleted all unknown files, deleted all temporary files in safe mode and scanned my system several times. No way to get rid of this stuff. Please help, i am really desperate.
@Wooly

Yes, i allready did that, and i scanned my computer with several antivirus programs: Avast, Norton, Kaspersky, Avira.

No result.
I forgot to mention: It only happens when i am on a Yahoo site. I think someone is targetting my IP connection.
