I downloaded a stupid torrent program yesterday, and immediately i’m getting a ton of pop-ups saying oh no your computer’s infected, you are at risk, trojan detected, etc. I tried a few malware, spyware, and virus programs. I have 2 realtime programs keeping the crap from popping up, but the infection is still there. The program I have requires payment to remove.
Can anyone suggest a FREE program for getting rid of this trash?

What has happened is that this mal-ware may have disabled some of your “armor-ware”. That’s why it’s important to scan with a good online scan that will actually CLEAN your computer before you do anything else. Once you have it clean, than you can go about the task of uninstalling your armor-ware, using a good registry cleaner, cleaning all non-registry files pertaining to that software and then re-installing it.
